LIFE-CYCLE CEREMONIES
We shape our self
to fit this world and by the world are shaped again. The visible and the invisible working together in common cause, to produce the miraculous. ~David Whyte (c) used with permission |
Life Milestones, Life Ceremonies
Ceremony, done well, can be transformative. Through it, we witness one another. Ceremony brings people together, providing solace to the grieving, support to those in transition, and applause for new beginnings and triumphant ends. Ceremony strengthens communities.
If you and your family are secular, spiritual, interfaith, or from mixed cultures, where do you turn when it’s time to mark a meaningful life milestone? For many of us, the conventional funeral or wedding ceremony doesn’t speak to what we need to express or experience. If we don’t observe religious rites, the options for marking a baby’s arrival, a teen’s coming of age, or a mid-life passage are limited. And for some major milestones, like divorce or losing one’s job, there are few cultural traditions that provide support. If you’re eager to embrace the meaning in your life and to connect more deeply with others, you’ve found a kindred spirit in me. I’m passionate about my work as a Life-Cycle Celebrant. And I look forward to working in partnership with you to create a ceremony to celebrate or commemorate the milestones in your life. Learn more about the Celebrant approach to weddings and unions, ceremonies to mark the beginning of life, end of life, and everything in between. I also create ceremonies for businesses and community groups. Read more about me and the Celebrant services I offer.
